EBO examination 2020

In 2020, the examination of the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO exam) will be held for the first time in Berlin as part of the DOG Congress.

The European Board of Ophthalmology, a sub-organization of the European Union of Medical Specialists, has set itself the task of standardizing the standard for ophthalmology training throughout Europe and ensuring its quality. To this end, the EBO has so far held a specialist examination each year exclusively during the meeting of the "Société Française d'Ophtalmologie" in Paris. Successful graduates receive the EBO diploma and can subsequently be awarded the title of "Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology" (FEBO).

The written and oral exams take place on the first day of the DOG 2020 congress.

ACHTUNG! DOG 2020 als virtueller Kongress

The corona pandemic has significantly affected the congress landscape this year. Many congresses had to be canceled, others were postponed because it had become impossible to hold them in the usual way.

The DOG has decided not to cancel their 2020 congress, but to hold it virtually in a different form in the same period.
